THE END

Weekend after next, I’m attending a day course at the Poetry School in London.

I often find ending my poems difficult; I know when to end them, but I end up with a trite line, something akin to a drum roll at the end of a burlesque act.

So, this course is called The End and is ideal for me!

I’m lucky enough to be getting a grant; poets DO apply for them; they want to give them to you; by the terms of their covenants they HAVE to give them to you!

Got a poem accepted on this e-zine for publication for June this year. Run by a Brit based in Italy there are seem to be a lot of American poets on there; I guess that’s the way of the world wide web  

The poem itself is something I wrote two and a half years ago and you think; did I really write that?!

Different headspace at different times….

READING POETRY

I find that writing poetry tires me out for reading the stuff. My reading diet are biogs of poets and short novels (less than 200 pages, not too dense). I wonder if this is unusual; hmmmm….
